Three Lodges meet at The Masonic Centre, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3DH. The Centre was built in 1912, and was recently refurbished as part of the centenary celebrations. Lodge of Perpetual Friendship No 135

Warranted in 1764, although there is evidence that it actually started several years before that. The Lodge of Perpetual Friendship is the second oldest lodge in the province of Somerset: originally meeting at The Old Angel and The Swan Inns before utilising the Clarence Hotel for its regular meetings. In 1912 it moved to the purpose-built Lodge building in King Square where meetings are regularly held to this day.

Admiral Blake Lodge No 4692
Regular meetings: the fourth Tuesday at 18.30hrs Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr (Installation 16.30), Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec. The December Meeting is held on third Tuesday
A petition to form a new craft lodge in Bridgwater was forwarded to Grand Lodge on 14 November 1924. It was accepted and now the Admiral Blake Lodge is one of only three Lodges whose name can be associated with the Parliamentarian leaders of the Civil War

Tynte Lodge No 7994

Tynte Lodge was founded and consecrated in 1964 and is one of three lodges that meet at Bridgwater. It takes its name from Sir Charles Kemeys-Tynte a prominent Freemason in the 1700s. It was formed during the building of the First Hinckley Point power station to allow for the influx of construction works and police officers to the area. The current members of the lodge features a wide variety of backgrounds.
Tynte meet on the third Thursday evening of the month and is well known as a sociable and welcoming Lodge. We particularly like to meet visiting members and through familial connection members travel widely to visit other lodges throughout the country.
Our November meetings see us inviting the other lodges from Bridgwater during which some members cook a hearty meal for the guests – usually using meat supplied by one or both of the butchers in the lodge. We also welcome family and invited guests to dine with us at Christmas. Our members pursue a variety of activities outside the lodge with a diverse range of interests

Disabled access: wheelchair access at rear with a floor to floor carriage lift (avoiding 19 step staircase between ground and first floors).
From all directions follow signs to Sedgemoor District Council Offices. Rear entrance to the Centre is found on Northgate opposite Blake Court flats with a small lay-by adjacent. Two large PCPs are situated on Northgate within 200 metres of the Centre in either direction. Very restricted parking at front entrance to the Centre in King Square.
