Nailsea & Backwell Beer and Cider Festival
A huge thank you to all those Brethren that gave up their time to help out at the recent festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Marquee was well manned and the Teddy Bear Raffle was a success, with quite a few enquires as to membership. In excess of 8,000 people attended the event (4,000+ on the Saturday alone) over the 3 days so the car parking stewards had a busy time of it, especially controlling the queues for the busses on the Saturday night.
Looking resplendent in their embroidered Somerset Logo Caps and Hi Vis vests. The weather was glorious and the rugby club thanked us for the professional and friendly way we all conducted ourselves. Well done to Rob Hughes for taking on the job of organising everybody, and making sure everyone knew what they were doing and where they should be. Also for arranging food and drink for everyone that helped on the Saturday
And a special thank you to the “float” for looking after us with cakes on the Sunday!
