A Near Pitch Perfect Installation at King Alfred
Brethren at King Alfred kick off the new masonic season in style at our installation meeting
on Friday 10 th October.

This night saw our very our Sean Biggins installed into the Chair of King Solomon, he brings
his own unique style and flare to the role to what appears to be a very promising year for the
lodge with 4 candidates lined up for initiations with a potential of another 2 in the pipeline.
Provincial Grand Masters was represented David Maddern who also presented
three Grand Lodge certificates to brethren recently raising to master mason.
The evening’s ceremony was conducted in impeccable form by the brethren at K.A as we
usually go to expect these days with very little prompting required, followed by generous
acclimation by the spectating brethren.
Of note was the working tools presentations for all three degrees, these were conducted by
three members of the same family, and all are still very junior in their masonic careers, was
excellent to see such passion, zeal and enthusiasm carry them through.
The evening was concluded with a rather jovial festive board with a cracking big of banter
sprinkled into the toasts.
One simply cannot ignore the epic bar set by Daniel Dean, IPM of Chelsea
Lodge who had the dining hall in stiches for most of his speech, something that will probably
not be replicated to that level for a long time, challenge set to anyone who thinks their funny
enough…
