RPL 291 Summer Barbecue

The scene was set and the sun was shining in Burnham on Sea this weekend when the members and guests of the Rural Philanthropic Lodge held their annual summer Barbecue. With over 60 attending it was indeed a very special and enjoyable day. A fun axe and star throwing competition was set up with a charity Masonic Cornhole championship, as well as an indoor bouncy castle for the younger brethren, in case it rained.

The day was organised by Andy Hodge, John Chinn and Nick Reed on behalf of the WM Mike David. With John Chin preparing the food and Andy and Nick cooking it, the meal was as good as ever and they managed to raise over £400 for charity.

Mike David said a huge thank you to everyone for their hard work and those that attended, making it another memorable day at 291.
