Gordano Honorary Members

At the last meeting of Gordano Lodge No 6244, two very well known
senior members of the lodge were made Honorary members.
W.Bro John Massey and W.Bro Philip du Kamp were both honoured to
mark the many years of selfless service they have given to
Freemasonry in general and Gordano Lodge in particular.

Both were presented with framed certificates by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro Paul Hinkley.
W.Bro Bro Philip was at the meeting for the presentation to be made, but W.Bro John’s mobility precluded him from making the meeting, and the presentation was made at his home in some rare April sunshine between the showers!

W.Bro Paul thanked both of them individually for the work they had done for many years to support the lodge, and for the assistance they had given him personally during his Masonic career. Both had held many senior offices in the lodge, and had helped the lodge be as strong as it is today.

W.Bro John Massey PPrJGW was initiated into Gordano lodge in 1981 by the present lodge secretary W.Bro Marshall (Matt) Westley, and was Worshipful Master in 1992 and 1996. He is now taking a well earned rest, and hopes to get to some meetings in the future when he can.
W.Bro Philip du Kamp JP PPrJGW was initiated into the lodge in 1994 and has been Master of the lodge three times, 2002, 2019 and 2020. However he is not sitting back yet. Although he has ceased to be the Treasurer, he will still be assisting as the Honorary Dining Steward, taking meal bookings and
making seating plans.
The lodge thanks both for their years of service in the past, and and look forward to many more years of support in the future.
