Brother Ed is Raised and the Trowel is Delivered

At the last regular meeting of Estune Lodge held on Tuesday the 17th April saw a busy night with the WM Mark raising Bro Ed Colburn to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. The evening started with welcoming the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro Ray Guthrie and his officers for a very interesting and thought provoking talk about membership as part of the MCV being rolled out through the Province, it is very clear we have some work to do.

The main event of the evening was to raise Brother Ed who conducted himself with well throughout the ceremony which was delivered in the capable hands of the WM Mark Eastaugh and his officers.

After the raising of Bro Ed the next lodge business was to Elect the master for coming year and Bro Stewart Galway was named the Master Elect, who said he looks forward to the coming year and the hard work we have to do to maintain the membership and to promote freemasonry in general.

During any other Business the provincial team delivered the Traveling Trowel which was presented to the Lodge by PJGW W.Bro Rob Hughes, and received by the WM who has a team of brothers delivering the Trowel to Lodge Marine on the 27th April, any brother wishing to be part of the team delivering the trowel then please contact our Lodge Secretary.

Afterwards at the festive board everyone was treated with a St Georges Themed evening with the tables decorated in Red and white and a very delightful roast beef and Yorkshire pudding meal was served by Sam and her team who we thank for the way they make all of us especially our guests feel welcome.

We would like to thank all those who attended this meeting and look forward to welcoming all our guests again in May when we have a special meeting to celebrate Estune s 75th anniversary where the provincial team led by the PGM R.W Bro Ray Guthrie will be taking command and delivering a 3rd Degree Raising Bro Wayne Otley.

Date for the Diary our WM will be hosting a ladies festival on Saturday 11th May and this is also to Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Lodge. Please book in with the Lodge Secretary by emailing: terry.ransome68@btinternet.com
