Chapter of Fidelity and Sincerity did Their first
On a clear night with a glorious sunset the chapter welcomed guests to the first attempt by a Chapter to use the Savage Ritual in Somerset. We were honoured by the presence of E Comp Martin Slocombe 2nd Prov G Principal, who came for moral support and a bit of work.
E Comp Chris Summers opened the Chapter with E Comps Duncan Sully Dunbar, H, and Keith Kerslake as Acting J. He stated that this evening was a special ceremony for this Chapter as it was our first-time doing Savage. He also Thanked E Comp Charlie Barker, PrGScE, for standing as Principal Sojourner. Bro Roberto Carboni, JW of Fidelity and Sincerity Lodge, was Exalted in a pretty smooth ceremony. Onn completion he was presented with the “Companions Guide” by E Comp Martin Slocombe.
A ballot proved clear for WBro Ian Cassling as an Exaltee, which will be carried out in April. The Treasurer, E Comp Adrian Halliwell, presented the Accounts which was duly adopted. He then gave a Notice of Motion that at the next meeting subs would be raised, owing to the increase costs of SGC, Prov GC and the Capitation Fee for the use of the Lodge.
The Chapter was closed and nearly all the Companions retired for the Festive Board.
