A Hat-Trick for Mike
At the June meeting of Abbey Chapter in Keynsham, the most important item on the agenda was to present Excellent Companion Mike Scaggs with his certificate to celebrate over 50 years of Royal Arch Masonry, thus collecting a hat-trick of 50-year certificates from Craft, Mark and Royal Arch Masonry.
Mike has a long and illustrious masonic career, starting when he was Initiated, Passed and Raised in Lodge of Honour back in 1970.
In the Royal Arch Mike was Exalted into Royal Sussex Chapter in 1984 and became 1st Principal in 1985, repeating that achievement in both 1994 and 2004. On joining Abbey Chapter in 2010, he became Treasurer until 2020.
Outside of Masonry, Mike is an accomplished Lawn Bowls player, achieving County Standards, but most importantly, in August, Mike will have been married to Enid for 60 years.
