John Munson “Recycled” as Master at Exmoor Lodge
On a cold night in Minehead, John Munson stayed on as Master of the Lodge for a second year, or as their DC said he was “recycled”.
The meeting was short but conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere with the current PPrJGW in attendance, accompanied by Andrew (Mac) Mackay his DC.
Exmoor Lodge recently merged with St Bernard Lodge who also met in Minehead, in a lovely old building, which was built for purpose. They, like many Lodges in the country, have suffered with falling memberships and the cost of running such a large building, which they are trying to do on a “Shoe-String”. They are planning several social events and are looking into renting out the hall to outside groups in order to generate much needed revenue.
They would always welcome visitors, so if anyone fancies a trip along the A39 to Minehead, please contact their Lodge Secretary – secretary.2390@gmail.com
The evening was rounded off with a lovely meal of Soup, Steak Pie and Raspberry Trifle, well worth the visit Ian and Mac Said!
