A Double Rabbie for Priory Lodge

At their January meeting, Priory Lodge celebrated Robert Burns’ Night with family and friends, filling the spacious dining room at Keynsham Masonic Hall with 96 happy revellers.

The evening started in the traditional way, with a short Lodge Meeting, after which the Brethren joined their guests downstairs for dinner.

With everyone assembled, the talented piper Blu Plenty entered the room, followed by the haggis being paraded around by the Lodge’s Master George Pittaway: Brother Alex Anderson, visiting from The Dorset Fairway Lodge, addressed the Haggis in fine poetic style, skillfully emulating Rabbie himself.

With Blu playing several more tunes on his bagpipes and a generous raffle raising £428 for a local charity, the whole evening was a most enjoyable and successful annual event.
