60 years a Mason
….. and 90 years a man!
Denis Calderley recently celebrated two significant milestones:
On Wednesday 6th December at the Royal Albert Edward Lodge in Bath, the Provincial Grand Master presented him with a certificate and lapel pin to commemorate his sixty years of membership.
Denis was Initiated on 4th December 1963 and has been their Master on three occasions.
A senior member of the Craft, Denis has also served as the Grand Superintendent for Royal Arch Masonry in Somerset, and even has a Chapter named after him!
Not one to sit still, Denis still provides music for the meetings at his Lodge and also a good number of other Lodges in Bath and Keynsham; additionally, he plays the organ at the Holy Trinity Church in Newton St Loe.
At the festive board he was presented with a huge birthday cake to celebrate his 60 years in Freemasonry and his 90th birthday at the beginning of January.
The meeting was well supported and included a large party from Corsham, with everyone wishing Denis many more happy years in Freemasonry.
