David takes the helm at Royal Naval Lodge
On a wet and wintery night in Yeovil a great many members and visitors went to Yeovil to witness David Roach installed as the new Master at Royal Naval Lodge on Friday 8th December.
Dave was installed by Alan Watkins in fine fashion, with the precision expected at such a fine and distinguished Lodge.
One of the many highlights of the evening was the working tools presented by the newer members in each of the degrees they were in. The presiding officer was Ian Evans the Provincial Junior warden and a stand in DC, Russ Woodland, due to Kevin Chard the acting ADC being ill, who had to stand down on the day. Also Mark “Ollie” Twist helping out at the beginning.
The evening was rounded off in the usual Royal Naval manner, with plenty of Grog (rum with water) and wine being provided, in good humour with plenty of fun and great food. An excellent evening was had by all!
