Jeff Body takes the third of three chairs!

It has been a busy time for Jeff Body, as on Friday 24th November he was installed as the 1st Principal of The Vale of Jehoshaphat Chapter in Burnham on Sea. Over the past couple of Weeks Jeff has also taken the chair of Somerset Fairway Lodge (the golfers Lodge) and Alfred & Guthrum Lodge, his mother Lodge; in preparation for their upcoming centenary celebrations.

With nearly 40 companions attending, including several Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers, Jeff was expertly installed by Richard Kilburn with Martin Slocombe attending in his role as Second Grand Principal. Martin was so overwhelmed by the ceremony and the meal that followed, that he got a little “choked”, but said the whole evening was a “smashing” success!

Dave Smith was also a Re-joining member, after a successful ballot, which Martin said was excellent news as Ray Guthrie the MEGS, was keen to get as many companions back into Royal Arch as possible.

The Vale of Jehoshaphat Chapter is one of the oldest Chapters in the Province, also one of the largest as it attracts members from, Wedmore, Burnham on Sea, Bridgwater and some even travel from Taunton & Langport to attend this Chapter, as it is a very vibrant and friendly Chapter.
