An exciting year ahead for Priory Lodge

Ten Past Masters met recently at the Keynsham Masonic Hall for a Committee Meeting, where they reviewed the last eleven months under the leadership of John Wenborn and laid out their plans for the exciting year ahead, with George Pittaway as the incoming Master.

Starting with their Installation Meeting in December, where the Assistant Provincial Grand Master Tony Guthrie will be the Installing the Master Elect, George Pittaway, under the watchful eye of his father Ray Guthrie, the Provincial Grand Master for Somerset, who will be presenting a Past Master’s Jewel to John Wenborn.

In 2024 they will hold their Robert Burns dinner, to which partners and non-masons will be invited.

A number of Ceremonies will follow at their regular meetings, including their 75th Anniversary.

Other events for 2024 include a visit to London, where George Pittaway will visit his Mother Lodge; a boat trip, with refreshments, along the River Avon; and public events to promote Freemasonry in Keynsham.

Following the meeting, the Brethren attended The Bird in Hand pub in Salford for a delicious meal, drinks and a social get together, where everyone had a wonderful time.

They are now taking bookings for their Installation Meeting on 8th December, to which everyone is welcome and hoping to have 75 Brethren at the Festive Board to help celebrate the start of their 75th Masonic year.
