Rural Philanthropic #291 pay a visit to Admiral Blake Lodge – with drama thrown in!
On Tuesday 20th December a touring party of 16 members of RPL 291, hired a minibus and paid a return Fraternal Visit to Admiral Blake Lodge, (just down the A38 in Bridgwater) where they were treated Royally and witnessed a superb Initiation. There was an excellent mix of Masons from 291, with lots of “light blues” two FCs and of course their very own Grand Officer!
Dan the WM, despite having a sore throat managed to make everyone hear and the candidate was excellent! With two more waiting to join, Admiral Blake is on the up!
There was a small drama when the DC James Brown took ill, but the Tyler, an ex paramedic, and the APGM Richard Winter were there on hand to help. After a visit to A&E James was back at the hall looking a little better, but will be visiting his GP soon, we all wish him well!
The Festive Board was the usual Christmas fair which was excellent and despite it being a Tuesday the members of 291 did themselves proud at the bar – well it is Christmas!
The next visit of the RPL 291 touring party will be to Estune in Nailsea.
