St Cecilia Lodge White Table Meeting

On Monday 28th November St Cecilia Lodge #9341 (The singing Lodge) were delighted to receive the members of Love & Honour Lodge #285, who presented the Travelling Trowel at their November “White Table” meeting. Seen here is Harvey Smith Master of 285 presenting the trowel to Mike Hoysted the Master of St Cecilia.

This was perhaps a first for the Province of Somerset as the Trowel was presented in the Temple with the Brethren, their wives and non-Masonic guests in attendance.

The evening was further ehanced with a talk presented by Ken Sherring on the life and music of John Stanley, complete with musical illustrations, played by Ken on the organ> The St Cecilia choir, David Smith, Sandra Smith, Emma Wolland and Peter Curtin sang music of the same period 1713-1786.

To cap off a wonderful evening, everyone enjoyed the musical festive board, which raised £225 for the Yeovil Foodbank.
