Royal Somerset Lodge Ladies’ Night At Frome

The first Ladies’ Night Celebration to actually be held at Frome Masonic Hall in many a moon took place on the evening of Saturday 8th October.

The current Master of Royal Somerset Lodge No 973, Andy Baird and his wife, Heather, thought it would be good to hold their Ladies’ Night at the Hall in order to enjoy the surroundings of its freshly decorated dining room and refurbished bar, not to mention the excellent cuisine now provided at the Hall by James Morrison and his team.

Heather did an excellent job of sourcing and assembling some very effective party and table decorations for the occasion. Andy’s job was to follow her instructions and ascend the various ladders required to fix said embellishments! The resultant effect of her efforts in conjunction with the new colour scheme, lighting and window drapes was really quite transformational.

The excellent dinner was followed by the Loyal Toast after which Andy gave the Toast To The Ladies, to which Heather made a very well received unrehearsed response on behalf of The Ladies.

Time then for 3-Piece Band ‘Hotdog Jackson’ to strike-up and do their thing, which they did brilliantly, without any breaks, until midnight. There was much dancing as they played their set. Well done guys, you were amazing and such good fun!!

Andy and Heather would like to thank all the guests for their support in making the occasion such an enjoyable success for the Lodge and the Hall, ably assisted by the band and the excellent catering.

Starting this Sunday (16th Oct), a new and mutually beneficial business venture will begin at Frome Masonic Hall whereby James Morrison will be serving Sunday lunches to pre-booked diners only.

Call him on 07575 706092 or see James Morrison Catering on Facebook and Instagram and make your reservation to enjoy a delicious Sunday Lunch accompanied by a very reasonably priced selection from the bar. These events will also contribute financially to the upkeep of the Masonic Hall.
