A family affair at the Showmen’s Guild Lodge

The Showmen’s Guild Lodge Installation meeting saw W.Bro Conor Ravenscroft installed in the Chair of King Solomon.
The Worshipful Master, W.Bro Nathan Henderson, was assisted in the Installation by W.Bro Conor’s father, W.Bro Lee Ravenscroft, and his grandfather, W.Bro Teddy Danter, so a real Showmen’s family event.
W.Bro Conor follows in the footsteps of his Grandfather, W.Bro Dennis Ravenscroft, who couldn’t be present due to ill health, and his father, W.Bro Lee Ravenscroft, both of whom are Past Masters of the Lodge.
The presiding Officer W.Bro Richard Winter APGM was kept busy, presenting the IPM with two bars for his Past Masters Jewel as well as presenting a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Aaron Harvey.
W.Bro Nathan & W.Bro Conor, supported by the Lodge and in particular W.Bro Tom Griffiths (a regular visitor and keen speech writer), delivered a first class ceremony, and it was good to see several members of the Lodge return to the fold after extended absences, the ceremony was topped off by a superb Festive Board and what can only be described as a bumper raffle.
