Craft, Chapter and Mark work together to support local schools.

The Charity Steward both the Royal Clarence Lodge at Bruton and the Science Lodge of Mark Master Masons at Wincanton, W Bro Steve McCarthy, wanted to support the 3 secondary schools in his area and with assistance from the Province a total of £3000 was raised. With additional contributions from his own Craft Lodge (Royal Clarence 976 at Bruton) and both Craft and Royal Arch Provincial Donations the final total raised reached £4950.

The 3 schools involved were Ansford Academy, King Arthur’s & Sexeys Bruton all of whom will use the donations for the purchase of learning materials. W Bro Steve was delighted with the overall response from the different orders” This is a fantastic example of the different Degrees working together and raising the profile of freemasonry in the community”

Quote from the Associate Assistant Head : “Please be assured your donations and contributions are making a real difference to the lives of our young people. We know that you are supporting and empowering their education right now but also enabling their future aspirations.     Thank you from all at King Arthur’s school”.
