Quadruple Initiation? Call The Emergency Services!

On the 20th November, the Emergency Services Lodge no. 9391, Taunton had a first in their 35 year history. An initiation ceremony for four candidates into the lodge and the fraternity. What an occasion! Witnessed by a full temple of around 80 members and visitors in Taunton they saw the Worshipful Master Chris Fletcher-Price and his team deliver a perfectly choreographed ceremony for Ash, Anton, Jon and Rowly. The rehearsals were well worth the result! It was equally special to see two stewards taking on the role as additional deacons to aid the floor work, one of whom is an entered apprentice. Great job James and Richard.

To top off the evening those present saw a first-time delivery of ritual by one of the newer brethren, Malcolm, who had a cracking go at the working tools. A ‘well done’ was heard around the temple: as it was for Steve’s delivery of the Charge from his Junior Warden’s chair. An evening that all will remember for a long time. A quadruple ceremony is quite a spectacle and the Lodge commends all those that took part.

The Lodge was honoured by the presence of many Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Lodge officers, as well as visitors from near and far. All look forward to seeing a busy year ahead and are grateful for those that come and visit this happy Lodge.
