Festival in full swing at Wincanton

In May, Lodge of Science welcomed David Maddern and the Provincial Team on their Fraternal visit. The main event of the evening was to pass Ian O’Donnell to the degree of a Fellow Craft, this was done in a most excellent manner by the Master and his Officers.

David then presented the Master with the Travelling Trowel as it begins its two-year journey around the Province. In September the Scientists will be taking it to Somerset Tablers in Ilminster and they are very much looking forward to their visit.

David gave an update on plans for the 2031 Festival and and then presented Festival Jewels to several members of the Lodge (pictured L-R: Jeff Salter, Rod Allen, Tony Willcox, David Maddern, Garry Hall, Mark Dibben). Everyone then retired to the dining room for a bumper festive board, which was very much enjoyed by the visitors.
