Tivoli Raise Michael to a MM and elects new WM
Tivoli Lodge meets four times per year, which usually means only one chance to go through the cycle of ceremonies. Chris Millard, the current WM has been determined not to lose the chance of delivering each of those ceremonies to the highest standard and he has worked hard with his Officers to achieve that. But to make a series of ceremonies memorable also requires a good candidate, and Michael Wilding, who last Saturday was raised to the degree of a Master Mason has been that candidate.
The Deacons worked with confidence and clarity to escort Micheal around the lodge, the Wardens delivered their parts with assurance and with the WM calmly ensuring the smooth running of the ceremony, the brethren and visitors were able to enjoy the best of which Tivoli Lodge is capable. The WM, Chris Millard is pictured with Bro Wilding, along with SW, Bro. Andy Richards, JW, Bro Angus Ross, SD Bro Peter Wrigglesworth and JD Bro Steve Reece.
But the Tivoli May meeting also sees the election of the WM for the coming year, and Bro Andy Richards, the current SW was so elected. This means that in the coming year, if all goes to plan, there will be a steady progression of “light blues” towards the chair.
After the business was completed, the members retired for lunch with ladies and other guests for an excellent lunch where another £480 was raised for Aishah’s Food Charity which supports individuals and families facing food insecurity in Weston-Super-Mare. The WM is hoping to extend the support that he and his wife Mary can give to this Charity with a summer garden party on Saturday 15th August.
