Burnham on Sea High Street get a splash of colour thank to the Freemasons.

Burnham-On-Sea town centre has been given a dash of summer colour this week, thanks to members of. he Rural Philanthropic Lodge. The group’s members planted hundreds of flowers in the planters along Burnham-On-Sea High Street, during Sunday June 1st.

John Chinn the Charity Steward has organised this for the last few years, since the Pandemic as John thought the Town needed colour to give it some cheer, after what was an awful time. It was so successful that he arranges this every year, with a good many of the Lodge members helping out.

John said they purchased 700 plants (and compost) from Local business, Westcroft Eggs, who always give a very generous discount.

The Lodge also received a generous donation from a local couple, who wished to keep anonymous, but are really thankful for the good work the local Freemasons do for the Town.
