Clevedon Men’s Shed make a new carry case for the Royal Ark Mariner Travelling Ark

Skilled craftsmen at the Clevedon Men Shed have made a new carrying case for the Royal Ark Mariner degree Somerset Travelling Ark.

Up to now, the Ark had been transported from Lodge to Lodge in a plastic toolbox, a somewhat poor means of transport and not something that looked pleasing when presenting the Ark at a lodge meeting.

W. Bro. Andy Wade the commander of Thackeray RAM lodge took it upon himself to arrange a more fitting case for the Ark. Andy got in contact with the members of the Clevedon Men’s Shed, who crafted a beautiful case to house the Ark, made from Oak,  it now gives the Ark a secure resting place and will be a fitting way to present the Ark at any Lodge meeting
