Emergency Services Emergency Meeting

To conclude another successful year of multiple ceremonies for the Emergency Services Lodge, Taunton, two more of its Fellowcrafts were raised to the degree of a Master Mason at an Emergency Meeting held on the 28th of April.
The ceremony was led in a very professional manner by the Worshipful Master Chris Fletcher-Price and his team of officers for Brother Stephen Clift, son of the ADC – who stood in as JW on this occasion – and Bro Rob Padilla, who was supported by five of his fellow Filipino countrymen who had travelled west from Eltham Palace Lodge 2980 in West Kent and Construction Lodge 9455 in Surrey.

As is usual for The Emergency Services Lodge, the raising was celebrated in fine style at the Festive Board by its members and 18 guests plus 6 visiting Masters in Office, who were treated to a splendid meal by ‘5 star’ Karen and her catering team. The sum of £440 was raised for local community charities.

The Lodge closes its year looking forward to next season’s ceremonies and in the planning stages are 4 Initiations, 4 Passings and 5 Raisings. This will include a privileged and honoured visit from the Provincial team to carry out a quadruple 3rd Degree ceremony on October the 22nd: more details of that will be posted nearer the time.
