Somerset Masons Raise £750.00 for MIND Somerset in Memory of Gabby Treharne

Gabby Treharne was a beautiful 17-year girl with a bright future who tragically took her life during the Covid-19 Lockdown.

The Treharne family are close friends of James Brown from Bridgwater and have been his guests at many Masonic Events over the years. Gabby was a school friend of his sons William & Sam, who all grew up together in Cannington Village.

Her older sister (Samantha) decided to mark the 5th Anniversary of her sister’s passing by entering the London Marathon to raise money in Gabby’s memory for Mind Somerset – https://www.mindinsomerset.org.uk/

This was Samantha’s first ever Marathon and she had never run before, but absolutely smashed it in under 5 hours!

In addition to personal sponsorships, James would like to give his sincere thanks to Admiral Blake Lodge, Sylvanus Lodge, Tynte Lodge, The Perpetual Friendship Chapter and the Quantock Lodge of Mark Master Masons who collectively donated £750.00 towards Samantha’s total amount raised of over £4,600.00 for this worthy charity.

Thank you, Brethren for a great team effort in the true spirit of Freemasonry!
