A Tale of Two Brothers at King Alfred

If you have been following along with King Alfred news you will know that in 2024 we initiated two
cousins into our lodge in a double 1st degree ceremony, brothers Jack Allen and Finaly James.

And no, they are not actual brothers, only cousins however we know them as “The Twins” as where
one is seen, the other is usually nearby…
They were then both passed to the degree of Fellowcraft along with Fin’s father Daniel in a ground
breaking triple in February this year.

Fast forward to Friday 9 th May and we have now concluded this story (for now) by raising both Jack
and Finn to the sublime degree of Master Mason in a double third. The ceremony was conducted
with passion and precision as usual in our lodge and the attention and care taken to ensure these
two “brothers in arms” continue their masonic journey together just goes to show how we do things
at King Alfred.

A warm and hearty congratulations to Jack and Finn and we wish them all the best in their next
“Chapter” at King Alfred whatever that may be…
