Somerset Military Lodge – A Day of Pride and Family Tradition

Somerset Military Lodge enjoyed a particularly special meeting as Charles Skeet was installed into the Chair of King Solomon. The outgoing Master, Ralph Howard, formally handed over the gavel before Charles was installed by his father (Brother Dad), a Derbyshire Mason who had also conducted all of Charles’s degrees at his mother lodge. Supported by fellow Derbyshire brethren, he delivered a heartfelt and memorable ceremony.

The meeting also saw Brother Ollie Thomas receive his Grand Lodge Certificate, presented by Richard Winter, Past Assistant Provincial Grand Master, marking an important milestone in his Masonic journey.

A day filled with emotion, tradition, and brotherly support, it will be long remembered within Somerset Military Lodge.

We all then retired to the after‑meeting dinner.
