Lodge of St George donate to save HydroPool

Lodge of St George has made a £2,500 contribution with a further £500 match funding from Province to help with the refurbishment of the much-loved hydropool at Compass Wellbeing in Taunton. The pool has been providing therapeutic support since 2017, but severe wear
threatens its future.

Many Users across Somerset include disabled and neurodiverse individuals, people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and older adults. Some rely on the warm water environment for physiotherapy to improve muscle strength, mobility, and pain relief.

Others find it a rare sensory experience where they can relax and move freely – something often impossible outside of water.

Some critical renovation work has already been carried out but the building requires a new roof, extensive internal refurbishment, and replacement of critical equipment, all of which suffer from accelerated wear due to high humidity levels.
