A Promising “Chapter” for King Alfred Chapter

Monday 27 th October saw the companions of King Alfred Chapter install our very own
Nathan Henderson to the chair of Zerubbabel as 1 st Principle, along with most of his officers
for the year, in what is looking to be a very promising year for the chapter.
The chapter was graced with the presence of E.Comp Richard Ellis PAGSoj in the province
of Somerset and was escorted by E.Comp Angus Ross PrDepGDC who we were also
delighted to welcome as a joining member to our chapter, a much distinguished companion
and a great asset to our thriving chapter.
Regarding membership, we have 4 Master Mason’s in the pipeline for exaltation and for the
second year in a row, our membership numbers have increased. A fantastic achievement
and really goes to show the hard work the members of the chapter are putting into it.
Look out for a potential double exaltation ceremony in the coming months, something which
is very rarely conducted in chapters across the country, will surely prove an exciting night.
Next King Alfred Chapter convocation will be an emergency one on 22 nd November to Install
Comp James Joyce as 3 rd Principle followed by a bumper breakfast which includes
invitations to wives and girlfriends and also brethren from craft lodges who have yet to join
Arch, a cracking way of getting the wider masonic family involved in what we do…
