Somerset visit Devonshire, Monday 7th April 2025

just four days after Somerset’s first joint Royal Arch (RA) and Craft meetings at the Webbington the PGM/MEGS took a trip down to Torquay with some members of his Executives for the Devonshire annual meeting.

The Royal Arch meeting was primarily for the Investiture of the new Most Excellent Grand Superintendant (MEGS), Excellent Comp Nicholas Ball. This ceremony was performed by the Most Excellent Companion Sir David Wootton, Second Grand Principal, accompanied by a small team from Supreme Grand Chapter. He processed into the Chapter escorted by a number of MEGSs including Somerset’s Ray Guthrie. Having been installed in his chair Excellent Comp Nicholas Ball then appointed, obligated and invested his new second and third Principals, and then confirmed the appointment of all the other serving Provincial Grand Officers. Before he closed the Provincial Grand Chapter he gave his address to the Companions.

As there was now a short while for refreshments, and general chit-chat, before lunch, Excellent Companion Arthur Rowe was able to snatch the pictures below.
