Yatton Masonic Hall held its first Community Open Day – 31st August 2024

On a sunny day, Yatton Masonic Hall held its first Community Open Day, offering a little something for everyone including:

  • Demonstrations from St.John Ambulance
  • Live Band – Crooked Finger
  • Cream Teas in our Tea Room for the day
  • Local Burgers and Hot Dogs
  • Ice Cream & Slush Puppy Vendor
  • Free Bouncy Castle for the Infants and Juniors
  • Hourly Tours of The Lodge Room
  • Arts and Crafts Stands
  • Local History Stand
  • Treasure Hunt – to win Ice Cream Maker
  • Bar & outside Refreshments
  • Charity Presentations

Over 200 locals came through the gates and enjoyed the day, which was organised by 23 Masonic Volunteers.

The main picture above shows the new Community Support Vehicle, which has been donated to St John Ambulance. Of the £80k needed, £7k has been donated by local residents. St John Ambulance, Freemasons and members from local community are seen in the picture. Donations were also made against the 100km Arctic Hike by Stephen Collings earlier this year.
