St Dunstan’s Lodge Help Raise Vital Funds for Children’s Hospice South West
Keith Bird of St Dunstan’s Lodge in Glastonbury selected Children’s Hospice South West as his charity during his year in the chair. Thanks to raffles at festive boards and a series of well‑supported social events – including an inter‑lodge Christmas dinner – he was delighted to present a cheque for £2,500 to the charity.

Members of St Dunstan’s Lodge, accompanied by several wives, were welcomed to the Hospice in Wraxall for an eye‑opening and informative tour led by Area Fundraiser Kylie Gallagher, followed by tea and biscuits. Established in 1995, the Hospice now supports more than 500 families across the South West each year, with running costs of around £16 million annually.
Keith and his wife Penny were also pleased to donate an additional £270, raised through a collection pot in their shop, in Street, during his year in the chair.

This outstanding effort by Keith, the members of St Dunstan’s Lodge and the visiting brethren reflects the Lodge’s commitment to supporting vital local causes and helping organisations that make a profound difference to families in need.
