Forest of Mendip – “Sell out Yatton”

Forest of Mendip recently held their last meeting, with 80 brethren packing Yatton hall. They carried out a third degree on behalf on Portcullis lodge to raise Dan. They welcomed not only WM and brethren from Portcullis , but also WM’s and brethren from our Mother and Daughter lodges, Birnbeck and Saltford on their fraternal visits. Also numerous  other visiting brethren from around the province and further a field and especially from Wessex lodge.

The WM Steve lead his team on his last meeting as WM with brethren from Portcullis carrying out parts of the ceremony.

After electing our Master Elect WB Austin for the new year , it then came to electing a Tyler Bubbs was elected and for some reason it was proposed , seconded , third , forth and fifth and then they ran out of time, (but continued into the festive board to) it’s like they can’t wait to get Bubbs outside 😁. (Completely understandable)

Gary Sharp the Provincial GDC and member of the Forest of Mendip Lodge, presented B Marco with his grand lodge certificate. (Notice the lack of Fruit Pastilles on display, although there were probable some in his case)

The festive board was a success with plenty of laughter and brotherly love, and they would like to thank all of their visitors for making it a great occasion and wish all the brethren a great summer.
