Another successful quiz night at Burnham

The scene was set, over 30 members, guests, friends, wives and partners all were at Burnham on Sea for the annual Rural Philanthropic Lodge quiz night.

Before the quiz started they had a brief presentation from a young lad, who had approached the Lodge to help him with a sailing challenge, which was to help young people between the ages of 14 to 25, he in fact was only 14, but gave a wonderful presentation and thanked the Lodge very much for the help and support they had given him.

Then the main event, quiz master Andy (Nicholas Parsons) Hodge asked the questions over several rounds in his unique style, including two picture rounds, music rounds and general knowledge. It was a close call with two teams competing neck and neck, with the eventual winners The Termites, just beating Rum forest Rum!

John Chinn provided his usual grazing buffet, which was as ever very nice and the night was a great success as it raised c£300, for local charities and the bar takings were excellent!
