New Mason Initiated at Glastonbury
In the mystical town of Glastonbury…. It was Brother Jack’s turn to be initiated into Pilgrims, the premier lodge in Glastonbury…… It was also our Past Masters evening, so the Master Richard, passed the gavel over to Past Master Peter after opening & off we went !

We were honoured to have Tony Guthrie with us, at what will be his last visit as one of the Provinces Assistant Provincial Grand Masters (APGM). Fortunately, Tony was with a ‘reserve’ as Graham Puddy also joined us, who will be appointed as the new APGM next week. In between the array of dark blue, was our own Grand Officer, WBro Clive. A rose amongst two thorns, or is it a thorn amongst two roses… I can never remember!

The Ceremony seemed to go very quickly, which is a sure sign of ‘time flying when you’re having fun’, with excellent ritual delivered by our Past Masters, along with a last minute, word perfect rendition of the working tools, by our Jnr Deacon…(He thought that he was having a night off!)
The after meeting festive board was the usual friendly event, with a fantastic toast to the initiate, given by Jake, who was Jacks proposer…I really heartfelt toast, ending with a gift presentation of miniature working tools, that Jake had bought for Jack… A lovely moment.

Welcome to our new made Brother… You have joined a fabulous lodge… may there be many years of enjoyment ahead.
