Forest of Mendip 1st Degree Demonstration

On Friday 21st November the Forest of Mendip Lodge held a demonstration of the 1st degree ceremony with explanations of certain parts given by W.Bro. Ray Beckingham.

Our W.M. W.Bro Steve Caswell recently slipped a disc, he had it put back in shortly before our meeting day and suffered all evening with severe pain.but he kept going.

During the ceremony our stand in J.D. Robin Alton presented the first degree tools, this was his completion of doing all three degree tools, so  Bro Mike Beasley of the Light Blue Club was able to explain the fact that if a member explained all three working tools during the year he would be presented with a badge, this was presented by W.Bro Garry Sharp.also a member of FoM.

The Lodge mentor Bubbs Burbage later explained as part of our mentoring we would be visiting other Lodges. The FoM has recently visited Woodspring Lodge, our next visit will be to Portcullis Lodge, in the new year we will visit Baily Lodge in Bristol, then our Daughter Lodge Saltford and our Mother Lodge Birnbeck Lodge.
