Taunton Deane Lodge October meeting

The brethren of Taunton Deane Lodge resumed Masonic activity after the summer recess on Thursday 2nd October. Before the Lodge was opened the Brethren paid their respects to Mervyn Clark who had passed to the Grand Lodge above earlier in the year.

The Lodge was opened and Russel Woodland along with a number of Provincial Officers was welcomed into the Lodge. Russel explained how the Membership Challenge had progressed and how Taunton Deane Lodge in particular was faring in particular. The WM. Nick Judd thanked Russel for his talk.

The ceremony for the evening was the Initiation of Mr Iulian Vrajitoru. The WM was assisted by a number of the junior Brethren.At the end of the meeting W. Bro. Russel congratulated Bro Iulian and presented him with a card part of which could be detached and given to a person showing an interest in Freemasonry.

The Brethren adjourned to the the dining room for a dinner of Roast Beef followed by Apple Pie and Cream prepared by the Excellet Karen.

Alex Tertelici proposed the toast to Julian and the Brethren sang the Entered Apprentices son in honour of his Initiation.
