St Alphege Brethren thank the Royal United Hospital

When a member of St Alphege Lodge reported back to his Lodge following his amazing and humbling experience at the Royal United Hospital, the Brethren very quickly agreed to his request for a donation to be made to RUHX, to benefit the staff who had treated him so professionally.

It was immediately agreed to give £2,500 and soon afterwards the Somerset Masonic Charity granted a further £500, which has already been paid to the charity.

Recently, a representation from St Alphege Lodge, visited the RUH to meet Associate Director, Rhyannon Boyd and Community Officer Tanisha Fair.

All four brethren have benefitted from the exceptional service provided by the RUH and felt privileged for the opportunity to express their thanks.

The total of £3,000 will be split between A&E and Cardiology Departments, to help make life a little easier for all concerned.

RUHX is the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

From their website:

“At RUHX, we’re more than a hospital charity.

We go further to give every patient the extra extraordinary care they deserve, while supporting our staff to do what they do best and furthering innovation within our hospitals. We’re out there in our community, collaborating with the people and organisations who drive real change. And we’re making sure that every penny we raise goes towards improving health, happiness and wellbeing for everyone in our community.

We are RUHX. And together, we have the power to do more”.
