Things Change & Things Stay The Same At Chapter Of St George

The Chapter of St George, Taunton held their Installation meeting on the 6th May, with Excellent Companion David Maddern received as the guest of honour, ably supported by Tony Rash as his DC for the evening.
The Installation process was somewhat different this year, with both Mike Meatyard as ‘Z’ and Peter Russell as ‘H’ remaining in the same position for the year and being proclaimed as such during the ceremony; this was due to Neal Hansley as ‘J’ having now moved to France to start a new business and unable to progress onwards. Vern Whereat was then installed as ‘J’, along with the appointment and investment of the new Chapter officers.

The Companions retired to the Festive Board, with another superb meal provided by Taunton Masonic Hall’s resident caterer 5* Karen and her team.

The Chapter moves forward with optimism after a challenging period of enforced change; a re-joining Companion and 2 more exaltations in the pipeline will keep the Chapter team busy, as they always should be!
