Its a surprise 50th for Dennis Hammond
On Saturday the 18th April, The APGM WBro Russel K Woodland went to Dennis Hammonds home to present him with a 50 Year PGMs Veterans Award for his time served within the Province of Somerset.
WBro Dennis is a member of Somerset Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge and was initiated into King Alfred Lodge on Friday 9th April 1976, installed as WM on 1st Oct 1990, promoted to PPrJGD in 1996, PPrSuptWrks 2005, PPrGReg in 2013 and PPrJGW in 2021 He was exaulted into Inkerman Chapter on 26th January 1981. Promoted to PrGStwd in 2006, PPrGSoj in 2007 and PPrGSwdB in 2013. He is a past member of King Alfred, St Keyna and Sir Isaac Newton. He is also a Grand Officer in Masonic Order of Athelstan.
WBro Toby Hammond the son of WBro Dennis had kept the presentation a secret, WBro Dennis had his family with him as he was celebrating his 90th birthday and was most pleasantly surprised when the APGM showed up to present the award. Congratulations are sent to WBro Dennis for completing this masonic milestone, from the PGM and members of The Province of Somerset.
