Gordano Lodge Pass Steve Wilson With an Irish Craic!

For its March meeting, Gordano Lodge conducted a Second Degree ceremony, followed by a lively St Patrick’s Day celebration. This formed part of the Lodge’s popular programme of themed meetings, which throughout the year has included Chinese, Indian, Italian and Burns Supper evenings.

As is customary, the festive board dining room was richly decorated with flags, bunting and a wide variety of themed adornments, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

The evening commenced with the ceremony, during which Bro. Pete Meech was passed to the Second Degree by W.Bro. Steve Wilson in exemplary fashion. Special recognition must be given to W.Bro. Tim Reynolds of Tennyson Lodge, whose excellent rendition of the Tracing Board greatly enhanced the occasion.

The festive board featured traditional Irish fare, thoughtfully selected by the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Rob Collins. Adding to the spirit of the evening, the Lodge Secretary, W.Bro. Marshall Westley, delivered an Irish-style poem while suitably attired in festive decorations, complete with a St Patrick’s Guinness hat.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, with the camaraderie and good humour—the “craic”—truly second to none.

Continuing this successful tradition of themed festive boards, the Lodge’s April meeting will celebrate St George’s Day.
