Lodge of Honour – Preserving History
Members of the Lodge of Honour were recently delighted to see their Bicentenary Warrant formally placed on display at Bath Masonic Hall. The warrant commemorates a significant milestone in the Lodge’s history, having celebrated their 200th Anniversary, marking two centuries of continuous existence.

Meanwhile, the Lodge’s Centenary Warrant, which commemorates the first 100 years of the Lodge’s existence, will soon undergo professional restoration. The document, currently held in the museum, with other warrants, has unfortunately suffered from age and environmental damage.
The frame of the centenary warrant stands out in comparison to the others, as it carries significantly more elaborate designs and carvings. It bears the markings of the lodge name and has various masonic symbols, including the square and compasses.

A Warrant of Constitution plays a significant role in the organisation and governance of Freemasonry, a fraternal organisation with a rich history dating back to the 17th Century.
