The Provincial Team visit Athelstan

On Friday the 6th Athelstan Lodge met for their March meeting. 

The Lodge received a fraternal Provincial Visit, led by Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Ray Guthrie, along with several members of the Provincial Team. 

The Worshipful Master and Officers of Athelstan raised Bro Chris Carter to the second degree, in an excellent ceremony conducted by the officers of Athelstan Lodge. Special recognition is due to Bro John Southwood for his Charge After Passing and Bro Craig Hamilton for the Second Degree Working Tools; both delivered their ritual flawlessly.

Additionally, WBro Danny Bomford-Glaysher presented a Masonic insight from the Solomon website titled “Thumbs up or Thumbs down,” which explained the distinction between the Sign of Fidelity and the Sign of Reverence.

The evening concluded with a very enjoyable Festive Board. The raffle was a success, raising a significant amount for the Worshipful Master’s charity.
