An uplifting occasion for Lodge Uno Corde

Lodge Uno Corde enjoyed a truly memorable and uplifting meeting recently, marked by excellent ritual, wonderful company, and heartfelt generosity.

The highlight of the afternoon was the initiation of their newest candidate, Daniel Bennett, conducted with great skill and harmony under the steady guidance of their Worshipful Master Tim Adams. The brethren came together seamlessly to deliver a slick and polished First Degree ceremony, showcasing the unity and commitment that defines their lodge. Brother Bennett was warmly welcomed into the Craft, and they look forward to supporting him on his Masonic journey.

They were also honoured to welcome members of the Province who joined them for the meeting and festive board. It was a pleasure to share the afternoon with Mike Greedy, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, whose presence added great value and warmth to the occasion.

They are grateful to him, and to all visiting Provincial brethren, for their support, good humour, and genuine camaraderie throughout the day.

They were further honoured by the presence of Tony Ward, accompanied by his much loved and impeccably behaved Guide Dog Poppy. Poppy quickly became the star of the afternoon, winning the affection of brethren and ladies at the festive board. There was even light-hearted discussion about measuring her up for a Master’s Apron!

Their ladies, who dined alongside them, enjoyed an inspiring and informative presentation from the Guide Dogs Charity, offering real insight into the life-changing work they deliver across the country. Their presence added warmth and interest to the evening, and their enthusiasm was matched by the generosity of the brethren.

Through the raffle, donations, and goodwill of everyone present, we proudly raised £540 in support of Guide Dogs, a contribution that will make a meaningful difference to this remarkable cause.

As always, the festive board was filled with friendship, laughter, and true Masonic spirit. They are keen to welcome more visiting brethren to join them at future meetings and festive boards, to share in the fellowship that makes Lodge Uno Corde such a special place. They warmly encourage anyone wishing to attend their next meeting to book in with the Lodge Secretary, who will be delighted to assist. If you and your partner/ lady feel like an afternoon of friendship and entertainment, then you are sure to be welcomed at Lodge Uno Corde by the Worshipful Master Tim Adams, Wardens & Brethren.

Please email unocordesec@gmail.com to reserve your space for you and your partner/lady.

The evening was a wonderful reflection of what they stand for: fellowship, charity, and unity. Lodge Uno Corde extends sincere thanks to everyone who made the meeting such a resounding success.

They look forward to welcoming you too.
