Let’s go Round Again !

Anther recent meeting Showmans Guild held their 44th installation meeting in Clevedon.

The lodge is in somewhat of a transitional phase in its history with the complexities of the changes to the traveling Showmens work patterns. But we had a goodly number of members in attendance coupled with support from local lodges and especially the Yatton lodge of hospitality who turned out in good force to support.

The evening saw Jonathan Henderson re-installed into the chair of King Solomon for a second consecutive year in Showmens. The lodge was honoured to have the provincial DC Garry Sharp accompanying WBro Tony Guthrie APGM who delivered a brilliant rendition of the address to the Wardens.

But more impressive was the detailed explanation of the Grand lodge Certificate to our newly raise brother Joe Richards, which was well received by all.

We are now in a position where all progressive officers are light blues and have plans to push the lodge forward and make sure it’s here more many years to come.

The lodge was also please to have Wbro Edward Henderson in attendance who was the lodges first initiate back in 1982 and was voted in by the brethren as an honorary member of the lodge along with Wbro Tommy Rowland one of our founders, who is unable to attend due to age and ill health anymore. But both brothers hard work and dedication to the lodge for many many years have meant this great honour is very much deserved.

A superb festive board followed with a brilliant atmosphere for all in attendance.
