Familial Companions In Chapter Of St George

The Companions who attended the recent Convocation of Chapter of St George on the 26th February witnessed 3 generations come together for the Exaltation of (Uncle) David H, where Neil H (nephew) and Alan H (great-nephew) are already Companions in the Chapter.
Mike Meatyard (Z) led his team of officers, with Ian Barrie (H) and Ken Clarke (J) standing in for absent Principals, to deliver a memorable Exaltation for David as the newest Companion of the Chapter. St George continues to use the Perfect Ritual for its ceremonies, but has adjusted it to share the workload between more Companions. This meeting was the last of the season, with the May meeting being the Installation Convocation, where several officers will move up the chain of progression towards the Principals’ chairs.
The Chapter of St George meets 4 times a year and is a friendly mix of mostly Taunton-based masons; any Master Mason of 4 weeks or more, who is not yet a companion of the Royal Arch would be most welcome to join the Chapter.
