Tynte Lodge – Installation Report

On the 19th February 2026, Tynte Lodge No 7994, Bridgwater welcomed its new Worshipful Master Sean Paul Jones to the Chair of King Solomon. It was an excellent ceremony, conducted by the Installing Master Peter James. The Lodge also had the pleasure of welcoming Barrie Palmer, Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Somerset to preside over the ceremony, escorted by Mark Twist – Provincial Assistant Grand DC.
The other Lodge guests included Grand Officers Richard Winter & Adrian Robson, along with visiting Brethren from around Somerset and a close friend of Sean’s from the Province of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire. The Immediate Past Master, Peter James surprised Chris Marchmont with a Masonic Pen, to mark the end of his magnificent time as the Tynte Lodge Secretary; Chris has now stood down after an impressive 11 years in office.

With only a few new officers to appoint, the new Worshipful Master is now looking forward to an exciting year of great fellowship and leadership. The splendid ceremony was followed by a first-class festive board prepared by the Lodge’s local caterer.
