Well Done Son!

The opportunity for a son to Exalt his father into a Royal Arch Chapter does not happen very often but Chris Baker, in his maiden ceremony as First Principal, had the privilege of doing exactly that.

His father Mark, having recently relocated to the area from West Kent, where he is a member of Hervey Lodge, was Exalted in fine style by Chris and his officers in a moving ceremony, witnessed by the Provincial Team.

Father – Son – Companion – Brother

Following his visit to the Chapter, the Second Provincial Grand Principal commented in his letter:

“I write to thank you, the Principals and Companions of Royal Cumberland Chapter for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the members of the Provincial Team and I whilst attending your regular convocation last evening.

It was a real pleasure to see son exalt dad, and I am sure it had great impact for Companion Mark.

Congratulations to all who took part, another one of masonry’s extra special occasions.

With your ballots for exaltation proving clear and two more brethren ready to complete their journey in pure ancient freemasonry, along with a further proposition made on the evening, the immediate future looks positive for the Chapter”.

Sentiments which summarised such a special event perfectly.

Royal Cumberland Chapter retains its unique character and looks forward to the future.
