A very Merry Christmas at King Alfred

December’s meeting on Friday 12th saw the brethren at King Alfred conduct yet another 1st degree initiation, this time only a single, it was intended to be another double but due to personal circumstances one has been paused for now.
Another cracking performance from the lodge, each brother who took part in the ceremony really gave it 100% of their effort, we certainly take pride in our work at King Alfred and the feedback we receive from visitors really reflects this.
The evenings proceedings was followed by good old fashioned Christmas Caroles with masons favourites 12 days of Christmas and We Wish you a Merry Christmas. Table 3 were clearly winners with their belting performance of 3 french hens… Good job fellas.
I would also like to say a very special welcome back to two of our members who through circumstances of avoidable calamity and misfortune, have been absent for some time, so to Phil Lewis and Alex Mitchell-Moore, we hope you had a lovely night and we hope to see you both again in the future, was truly touching to see them with happy faces considering all they have both been through.
To all those that celebrate the festive holidays, have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year!!!
